Tottenham engaged in four-way tussle for PSG star

Tottenham have been long-term admirers of PSG’s Adrien Rabiot, showing interest in the young midfielder repeatedly over the past couple of years.

A potential transfer looked less and less likely as Rabiot became a more main stay fixture in the French giants’ midfield, but could that be about to change?

Rabiot is now in the final year of his contract, and relationships with PSG are said to have turned sour after the French midfielder was left out of his country’s World Cup winning squad.

He actually turned down the chance to be on the French standby list out of frustration, and it is reported that PSG may now look to cash in on the 23-year-old.

Rabiot spent some time in the Manchester City academy back when he was 13, and it is said that the English champions are one of many interested parties looking to sign the midfielder.

Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona are also all said to be keeping tabs on him.

Rabiot turned down two contract extensions from PSG in the summer, and manager Thomas Tuchel has since said: “His future is in his hands, the decision belongs to him.

“He has to decide whether he is engaging with us, how we work, or whether he chooses a new challenge.”

A good potential signing for Spurs?
