Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a Rangers midfielder who is quickly emerging as one of the most sought-after players ahead of the January transfer window.
The Rodrigo Bentancur-Joao Palhinha partnership has had mixed results for Tottenham this season, while Pape Sarr has earned rave reviews under Thomas Frank.
With Lucas Bergvall now being used as a number ten, and with all signs pointing to Yves Bissouma having no future at Tottenham, the Lilywhites are unsurprisingly looking to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
They have now become the latest club to enter the race for a 24-year-old who has been turning heads for a long time in Scotland.

Tottenham express interest in Belgium international Nico Raskin
According to TEAMtalk, Spurs have become the latest club to enter the race for Nico Raskin, who has been extremely impressive since his £2m switch to Rangers in 2023.
The former Standard Liege man is not just impressing in the Scottish Premiership but has also stood out for Belgium recently, and this has not gone unnoticed across Europe.
Tottenham have now joined the queue of clubs wanting Raskin, with Thomas Frank’s men seeing him as someone who can add energy and depth to their midfield.
The 24-year-old faces an uncertain future at Rangers and is also on the radars of Wolves, Crystal Palace, West Ham, and Burnley, as well as several clubs from Italy, Spain, and Germany.
Spurs target Nico Raskin has already made his transfer intentions clear
TEAMtalk say that the midfielder made it clear to the Ibrox hierarchy in the summer that he wanted to leave, but Rangers’ refusal to let him go caused some tension.
In fact, recently sacked manager Russel Martin even sidelined Raskin from his squad, emphasising that he only wants players who are fully committed to the project.
The Scottish side now face the risk of losing the former Standard Liege man in January if a decent offer were to arrive.
Rangers could demand £20m-£25m for Raskin, which would make him a record sale for the Glasgow giants, eclipsing the £19.6m deal that took Calvin Bassey to Ajax in July 2022.
