No matter what happens in the Europa League final, this season will be remembered as a very dark moment for Tottenham domestically, with the numbers suggesting that the Lilywhites have never been this bad since the advent of the Premier League.
Following Tottenham’s loss to Crystal Palace, Spurs Web pointed out that Postecoglou has set a new club record for the most defeats in a single Premier League season.
The Australian has now pulled further away from the rest after seeing the Lilywhites fall to their 21st league defeat of the season against Aston Villa, and in the process, he has set another unwanted record.

A 33-year low for Tottenham as records continue to tumble
Football Insider have now revealed that Spurs’ 2-0 loss at Villa Park means that the club have now lost 25 times across all competitions so far this season.
According to the outlet, that is the most losses that Tottenham Hotspur have registered across a single campaign since the 1991-92 season.
That means that the current Spurs side has equalled a 33-year low, and things could get even worse for Postecoglou and the Lilywhites as they still have two more games left to go: the Europa League final and their final league game of the season against Brighton.
Does a Europa League win erase the shocking results domestically?
Even though the terrible records are beginning to pile up one after the other for Tottenham, the club still have an opportunity to turn this into a memorable campaign if they can beat Man United to lift the Europa League trophy in Bilbao.
Given how long Spurs fans have waited for a trophy, there is no doubt that many would forget all that came before it. They would rightly be celebrating what is one of the biggest moments in the club’s 143-year history.
