Tottenham extend stadium stay

The Daily Mail broke news last night Tottenham Hospur have apparently extended their Wembley stay until December 15 this year.

With uncertainty around the finishing date of their brand new 62,062 seat stadium, chairman Daniel Levy has taken the decision to extend their Wembley contract until just before Christmas.

The Spurs supremo does however still hope that his team will be playing at their new ground before this December date.

Last month, stadium contractors Mace revealed that the delays in opening the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were down to electrical faults in the fire safety systems.

A burst water pipe then piled on the misery for the club.

UEFA have already ordered Spurs to play every home group stage match at the national stadium, and Spurs may face a similar situation with the FA in coming months.

If Tottenham are to see a grand opening by December 15, it will be one huge Christmas present for the fans, players and staff involved at the club!
