Tottenham find out how much Antoine Semenyo will cost them this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are considering raiding a Premier League rival for an exciting winger who has been giving nightmares to defences across the division, but the North London club have to pay a sizable fee to land the player.

There are a lot of factors behind Bournemouth’s rise under Andoni Iraola, but one of the most crucial has been the growth of Antoine Semenyo over the last 18 months.

The right-winger has demonstrated that he can be unplayable on his day, with defences struggling to keep him silent, and he has also demonstrated an eye for goal this season, having found the back of the net nine times across all competitions.

The Ghana international’s displays at the Vitality Stadium have reportedly won him many admirers at Tottenham, with the Lilywhites eyeing a summer move for the winger.

Tottenham have to spend big to sign Antoine Semenyo

This report comes from Fichajes, who say that Spurs are ‘keen’ on adding the 25-year-old to their squad ahead of next season.

The report says that Ange Postecoglou’s men want to strengthen their forward line in the summer and see Semenyo as someone who can improve their team.

The Tottenham decision-makers allegedly feel that the Bournemouth man’s explosiveness and goalscoring instinct could help revitalise the club’s attack, which has underperformed this season.

However, the outlet reveals that the Cherries have made it clear that they will not accept any offer below €60m (£50m) for the versatile attacker.

Spurs will assess other options

Fichajes also say that the interest in Antoine Semenyo is now growing, with several sides apart from Tottenham also keeping an eye on the Bournemouth star’s situation.

In fact, it is suggested that the race for the winger’s signature could become ‘one of the most intense’ battles of the summer window, with the South Coast club well aware that their player is wanted by rival Premier League sides.

However, the publication explains that Spurs will also assess the other attackers on the market before deciding whether to invest a big fee on Semenyo.
