Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is facing growing uncertainty over his next move, with Tottenham Hotspur interest now complicated by fresh competition and a new potential destination emerging ahead of the summer window.
Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Andy Robertson is not entirely new, with interest dating back to the winter transfer window.
A move at the time, though, was blocked by Liverpool due to a lack of cover at full-back, despite Tottenham coming very close to landing the 32-year-old veteran and being willing to pay a modest fee.
That is now all out the window, with Robertson set to become a free agent and pick the club he wants to move to this summer.

Fenerbahce agree £2.5m salary with Andy Robertson despite Tottenham agreement
Spurs Web has long reported that, despite missing out on a deal in the winter, Tottenham and Robertson have reached a verbal agreement over a move in the summer.
However, that in itself is not a given, with Spurs having to secure their Premier League status before any such move can be completed. With Tottenham’s league status still uncertain, interest in Robertson from other sides remains plenty.
The latest interest comes from the Turkish side Fenerbahce, who are also keen on securing the services of the Liverpool full-back, according to Fener Ajans, who reports information from journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
It is explained that the Turkish side has lined up an offer for the Reds man, and that Fenerbahce have now agreed a deal with Robertson.
It is understood that the full-back would sign a two-year contract with the Super Lig club, worth a £2.5m salary.
Fenerbahce presidential election to give Spurs a window of opportunity in Robertson chase
However, while an offer has been lined up, no agreement has been reached, with the same report stating that any move will depend on who wins the upcoming presidential election at the club.
It is claimed that if both presidential candidates approve the transfer this summer, then a deal can be done. The elections are set to take place on June 6-7, meaning any move for Robertson could be delayed until then.
At that moment, though, Spurs’ Premier League fate will also have been decided, which could see them firmly in the race for Robertson, who recently admitted to Tottenham’s interest in the summer.
He said: “Tottenham was close in January. I am not going to deny that. It was a serious consideration, but it did not happen.”
