Tottenham face three away fixtures in a row after Premier League reschedule

Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Burnely, which was called off back in November, has been rescheduled for Wednesday 23 February, the club have confirmed.

Tottenham have seen more than one game called off due to Covid-19 outbreaks at various clubs over the past couple of months (Premier League).

The clash at Turf Moor, which was initially scheduled for 28 November, was the first of Spurs’ matches this season to be suspended but rather than being down to the virus, it was due to heavy snowfall in Lancashire.

It has now been decided that the game will be played on 23 February, with the kick-off scheduled for 7.30 pm.

This means Antonio Conte’s men have three back-to-back away games in the Premier League later this month, with the Burnley clash sitting between the trip to the Etihad on 19 February to face Manchester City and a trip to Leeds United’s Elland Road on 26 February.

This kind of fixture congestion was inevitable in the second half of the season, given the number of matches we have had postponed. That is why I believe being knocked out of the Europa Conference League is a blessing in disguise for us.

This month looks set to be a crucial one for the Lilywhites in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.
