Tottenham Hotspur fans have made their stance clear on where they stand with Heung-min Son starting on Thursday against Bodo/Glimt, after Postecoglou’s latest injury update.
Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a huge European night under the lights, as they welcome Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Thursday.
The tie comes at a tricky time for Ange Postecoglou’s side, with confidence taking a hit after Sunday’s 5-1 battering. It was a humbling display, and one that Spurs can’t afford to repeat in the semi-final of a major European competition.
If Tottenham have serious hopes of making the final, they’ll need to show far more over the next two legs than they did at the weekend.

Tottenham fans urge Ange Postecoglou to rest Heung-min Son vs Bodo/Glimt
Of course, it is no news that if Tottenham are to make it all the way to the Europa League final, they may have to do so without their skipper.
Heung-min Son remains a big doubt for Thursday, with Ange Postecoglou admitting it’s “touch and go” in terms of his fitness.
That uncertainty has seen Spurs fans make their feelings known. The consensus is simple – don’t risk him. Supporters have been flooding social media with calls to leave the forward out entirely.
One fan warned: “Don’t you dare start an unfit Son.” Another said: “If he starts Son on Thursday, then we may forget about it. Tel was very good vs Frankfurt.”
Others echoed the sentiment: “Great, an unfit Son stinking the joint out,” while one sarcastically joked: “Without Son we have been so much worse 😭 2-4 Wolves and 5-1 Liverpool.”
Indeed, Heung-min Son remains Tottenham’s most dangerous attacker, with the Korean winger notching 22 goal contributions in all competitions this season – the most of any Spurs player.
Richarlison, Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert options for Spurs
While Son’s involvement remains up in the air, Ange Postecoglou isn’t exactly short on options down the left flank, with Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel all available for selection.
Tel, in particular, has filled in admirably. He’s looked sharp in spells and, aside from his costly error against Liverpool, has shown he can be trusted.
Bodo/Glimt themselves aren’t in a great place either – reports suggest Glimt could be missing half their squad for the Tottenham tie.
That should, in theory, hand the advantage to Tottenham… but as ever, we’ll have to see how it plays out on the night.
