Tottenham fans have sent messages to Xavi Simons after the Dutchman was spotted doing workouts in the Hotspur Way gym as he steps up his rehabilitation.
In the last year, Tottenham Hotspur have seen four of their players, Radu Dragusin, now on loan with Fiorentina with a transfer set to be completed next year, James Maddison, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons, pick up long, brutal ACL injuries.
However, while Dragusin and Maddison have since recovered, Simons and Odobert remain sidelined after picking up their respective injuries at the tail end of last season.
At the moment, a return is pencilled in for next year in the case of Simons, while Odobert has a chance of featuring toward the end of this year.

Tottenham fans react as Xavi Simons steps up Hotspur Way recovery
Odobert was amongst those spotted in training last week, and now Simons looks to have joined in, doing work at the gym as he continues his rehabilitation from his long-term knock.
His latest involvement in workout sessions at the Hotspur Way gym has left many fans excited as they took to social media to share their reaction.
One Tottenham fan said: “He is going to fly next season.” Another added: “Looks good to go if you ask me…..see you on the opening day @xavisimons 🤣🤣.”
A third believes that Simons will have a big role to play next season in the second half of the campaign: “He is going to be huge for the second half of the season 👊🇳🇱.”
A fourth fan then added: “Why is he lowkey moving kinda well already?” before one other supporter commented: “Xavi looking sharp already 💪 Cannot wait to see him link up with the lads and light it up in the second half of the season 🔥 COYS!”
Others sent congratulatory messages, with one saying: “Congratulations Xavi.” One more Tottenham fan added: “If Xavi keeps this up, the comeback will have its own theme music.” Another stated: “His progress is faster than Madders.” A final fan added: “Hoping to see you soon lad!”
Simons hints at Savinho transfer
Simons picked up his ACL injury at a rather unfortunate time last campaign as he was starting to get into some rhythm at Tottenham.
However, his absence thankfully did not derail the club’s pursuit of Premier League safety, with Spurs still able to secure their top-flight status without him.
While out injured, Xavi has dropped multiple hints about Savinho, and it looks increasingly likely that they may be reunited this summer.
