Tottenham Hotspur’s long-standing club record finally came to an end on a night that left supporters divided over what they had just witnessed.
It was yet another draw for Tottenham Hotspur in Europe after their 0-0 stalemate with AS Monaco, making it back-to-back draws on the continental stage following their 2-2 encounter with Bodo/Glimt last time out.
Spurs now find themselves a point away from the automatic qualification spot, as their recent draw pushes them down to 15th in the Champions League league phase table.
However, yesterday’s goalless result brought an end to Tottenham’s 125-game run without a 0-0 draw, one that stretched all the way back to 2023.

Tottenham fans react to draw as record run ends
Tottenham fans have now shared their reactions to the latest result that marked the end of their two-year run.
Taking to X, one fan said: “Didnt do anything until Gray switched to mf and started driving from there. Cant keep seriously starting Benta and Palhinha. He then brings the attackers on after 65 mins and expects the game flow to shift having sat back the whole match. Have to be brave from the start.”
Another supporter wrote: “You killed the men but not the idea,” before posting photos of Mourinho, Nuno and Conte.
One more fan claimed: “I swear if Frank come and say we played how we supposed to play and we did well, I am going to lose it!”
Another added: “Pretty toothless with Richarlison offering absolutely nothing, make a load of subs and completely lose cohesion. On a positive note, Odobert had probably his best game.”
A separate comment read: “No creativity in the final 3rd. Kudus will be triple-teamed, with no threat in the middle or on the left.”
And one more added: “Hmmm, but I’d rather a 0-0 draw than a 3-2 loss.”
Spurs fortunate to escape defeat against AS Monaco
Of course, drawing a football match 0-0 often matters little, and based on the overall game, it is something Tottenham would simply have to take.
Spurs were lucky to say the least, as AS Monaco outplayed them throughout the tie and were unfortunate not to come away with the win.
Guglielmo Vicario was immense and kept Tottenham in the game. In all honesty, Spurs would take the result, as they still have a chance of securing automatic qualification, though that would require winning their home fixtures, which, given their recent form, might be a big ask.
