Tottenham Hotspur are bracing for a period without Guglielmo Vicario, but Antonin Kinsky will love the reaction from Spurs fans.
Guglielmo Vicario is set to undergo surgery on his hernia in the coming weeks, and that should see him sidelined for a couple of games.
Whether the Italian will line up in goal for Tottenham Hotspur in their all-important relegation six-pointer remains to be seen.
However, one thing is certain: Antonin Kinsky is set to take charge in goal in the absence of the Tottenham number one.

Tottenham fans react as Guglielmo Vicario injury opens door for Antonin Kinsky return
Many Spurs fans remember how difficult it was for Kinsky when he last lined up in goal for Tottenham.
The Czech international made two costly mistakes in the first leg of Spurs’ last-16 clash with Atletico Madrid and was hooked off in the 16th minute.
Tudor did claim after that game that Kinsky will still play for Tottenham this season, and the goalkeeper’s moment is now.
Following the latest news, Spurs fans have now taken to social media to share their reaction to Vicario’s injury and Kinsky’s potential return.
Commenting on the situation, one fan said: “Kinsky redemption era”, while another urged Vicario to get well soon: “Get well soon, Vic – quick recovery. We love you.”
One Tottenham supporter said: “Have the operation now to get the full recovery period in during the break. We have Kinsky who deserves another chance in goal.” Another agreed saying: “Kinsky deserves his shot, Madrid’s field was awful.”
Another remarked, asking Kinsky to take the opportunity: “It is your time to shine again, prove us.”
While one fan was certain of a redemption arc for Kinsky: “Speedy recovery Vic 🙏🏽 Tonda, your time is now! That redemption arc is going to bang!”
Another commented on Vicario’s quality: “After that world-class save he made in the last match, he will be missed. Get well soon, Vic.”
Tottenham injury update on Guglielmo Vicario recovery timeline
Vicario might not be out for too long and could well be back shortly after the international break. However, if he is to miss any games, it could be one or three.
Spurs, in their official statement, claimed that Vicario should be back within a month. The club confirmed the nature of the procedure and expected recovery timeline. Alasdair Gold also confirmed that Vicario should play through the pain and feature for Spurs this weekend against Forest before his surgery.
They stated: “We can confirm that Guglielmo Vicario will undergo surgery next week on a hernia. The minor procedure for the Italy international goalkeeper has been timed to have as minimal impact on our season as possible.
“Guglielmo will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately, and it is hoped that he could return to action within the next month.”
