Tottenham fans have been left feeling emotional following the return of Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus to the training pitches.

Tottenham Hotspur were handed a major boost in training this evening, with Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski making a long-awaited appearance.

The pair have been nursing long-term injuries, with Kulusevski out for 15 months and Kudus sidelined for over three months.

However, for the first time in a long while, the Swede and the Ghanaian were put through their paces as they were spotted jogging and doing on-the-ball work at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham fans react as Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski return

This is certainly music to the ears of Tottenham fans, who have not hesitated in sharing their reaction to the return of Kudus and Kulusevski.

Taking to social media, one fan said: “Never thought I’d see the day Deki ran again.” Another added: “Wow our diamonds are back, I can’t wait to see two on the field.”

A third fan said: “Not looking too bad at all. Good luck to you both and looking forward to you integrating with the first team squad soon. COYS!!”

A fourth opined: “It’s like 2 new signings welcome back.” Another supporter maintained a positive spirit: “The way Kulu was moving he may come back better. 🤞🙏”

One more fan believed the timing of their return was perfect: “These guys are actually coming at the perfect time!”

One other supporter then added: “Our right wing position is sorted this season if both are fit throughout the season.”

A final fan commented: “Means more than a new signing.”

Spurs handed timely boost as Kudus and Kulusevski step up recovery

It is obviously the perfect time for the two stars to return after such lengthy spells on the sidelines. There is currently no pressure for them to be rushed back into action, with the summer transfer window still open and Tottenham remaining active in the market for new signings.

This should ease the pressure to accelerate the return of the two wide forwards and avoid complicating their rehabilitation.

Kulusevski, however, will need more time if he is to get back to his best after being out for 15 months.

Kudus, on the other hand, could return at some stage next season, with Roberto De Zerbi revealing that the Ghana international is expected to join in training following Spurs’ tour.

It remains to be seen how this will affect Tottenham’s recruitment plans if they continue to push for two new wide forwards, having been consistently linked with both Cody Gakpo and Savinho.
