Tottenham Hotspur fans have now sent a message to Ange Postecoglou’s men, warning against complacency after the Lilywhites drew Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
When the initial knockout phase draw was completed, many Tottenham Hotspur fans would’ve expected the club to face Lazio in the semi-final phase of the Europa League.
Lazio, of course, are sixth in Serie A at the moment – just three points off fourth-placed Juventus and five off third-placed Atalanta.
Everything being equal, few would’ve expected Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt to get past the Serie A side, should the two have locked horns.

Tottenham react after drawing Bodo/Glimt in Europa League
Indeed, the reverse was the case, as Bodo/Glimt, against all odds, knocked Lazio out of the competition, booking their place in the last four, with Tottenham Hotspur up next.
With Spurs fans now aware of their semi-final opponents, many took to social media to react. A large section of the Lilywhites faithful agree it’s a much easier tie compared to Lazio, though there’s a common warning against complacency.
One fan said: “Probably an easier away day for the players than going to Rome, but let’s hope they don’t go into it thinking it’s won.”
Another stated: “Yesssss we gotta reach the final.” Someone else reminded: “On paper, an easier tie than Lazio but let’s not underestimate Bodo/Glimt. Need full concentration and hopefully Spurs will be in another final.”
Another added: “Embarrassing if we don’t get to the final.” One echoed: “I hope we don’t underestimate them – they’ve gotten themselves this far now.”
One fan warned that Spurs’ biggest threat might be themselves: “Spursy written all over it. Hope we can overcome ourselves – this is the best fixture we could ask for.”
And another simply said: “Easiest semi-final possible.”
Why Tottenham must stay focused against Bodo/Glimt
Undoubtedly, many would agree that this is the best possible draw Spurs could have asked for. However, Bodo/Glimt have already shown – as they did against Lazio – that they’re more than capable of getting a result.
Spurs are close now, and with the final well within reach, they’ve got to maintain their focus. The first leg is set to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and while that may not be ideal, they’ve got to make it count.
They must take full advantage of the home crowd and get a result – one that would leave them in a strong position when they travel to Norway.
