Tottenham fans suggest 10 different managers they want to replace Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur supporters are once again making their feelings clear, with growing frustration around Thomas Frank leading to debate over who could replace him should the club decide to make a change.

Thomas Frank is far from a popular figure among Tottenham Hotspur fans, who have not held back in directing criticism towards the Dane this season.

Results have not gone the way of the Spurs boss, nor have performances on the pitch inspired confidence, leaving supporters increasingly frustrated as Tottenham sit 14th in the table, six points above 17th place.

The defeat against Bournemouth, a side winless in their previous 12 matches, only added to the discontent, with fans booing Frank at full-time for the latest time this campaign.

Tottenham fans suggest Thomas Frank replacements amid pressure

It is believed Spurs are not yet prepared to pull the plug on Frank, as the club looks to emulate Liverpool’s long-term managerial model.

However, that has not stopped supporters from naming the managers they would rather see in the Tottenham dugout should a change be made.

Commenting on social media when asked who they would want as head coach, one fan said: “If it’s now, Xavi. If it’s an interim till the summer, Poch,” while another added: “Just bring back Ange.”

One Tottenham supporter wrote: “There’s a few decent managers out there at the minute, albeit not your household names. Xavi is the name on everyone’s lips. Personally, I enjoyed watching Terzic’s Dortmund. Relentless football. There’s always Motta and unlikely, but available, Zidane.”

Another fan commented: “Xavi or Harry Redknapp as caretaker manager. They must get players they want. Even Klopp? Change starts from people at the top i.e Vinai, Lange etc. We signed no one in seven days of the window.”

While another added: “I want Poch back to do the painful rebuild he should have been allowed to do six years ago. That will not happen unless we wait until after the World Cup, but we will be fishing for a manager at the same time as Man U and possibly City – both those have much more pull than we do.”

One further Tottenham fan comment read: “You realistically look at McKenna or Keane to the end of the season, with the permanent job dependent on results through to the end of the season, with the eye on Poch and Xavi. Let’s face it, we are hesitant for it to be Poch again, but we all want someone identical to Poch.”

Spurs options remain limited despite fan pressure

We reported a few weeks ago that Xavi is a name on the radar of Spurs as Thomas Frank continues to come under pressure.

Mauricio Pochettino also remains an option for Tottenham, having often spoken fondly about wanting to return to the club to finish what he started.

Both remain leading choices among supporters, although Xavi appears the more realistic option at present, given he is currently out of work.

In contrast, Pochettino remains tied to his role with the United States national team ahead of the World Cup in the summer.
