Tottenham Hotspur have been handed good news regarding Dejan Kulusevski after he missed the entire 2025-26 season due to injury.
As Spurs Web has already covered, Roberto De Zerbi has confessed that he is a big fan of Kulusevski, and the attacking midfielder will be setting his sights on becoming a key player in the Italian’s set-up.
De Zerbi is yet to get his first look at the Swede in the training ground, with the 25-year-old not having kicked a ball for over a year.
Tottenham fans have been concerned that Kulusevski’s expected return date keeps being pushed back, but there may now finally be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski is seen running as he steps up his recovery
Kulusevski had set his sights on being fit for this summer’s World Cup, but that ultimately proved beyond his reach, with the Tottenham man being left out of Sweden’s World Cup squad.
However, the former Juventus man is now showing clear signs of progress as he steps up his recovery from his knee injury.
A video doing the rounds on social media shows Kulusevski running on the pitch for the first time as he continues making progress.
Missing the World Cup could be a blessing in disguise for Kulusevski
Given the kind of personality and competitiveness the Spurs star possesses, he would likely have pushed himself to play a part in the World Cup had he been included in the squad.
There is always a risk of reinjury when a player does that after a serious injury which has kept him out of action for so long.
The attacking midfielder now has a couple of months to slowly build up his fitness, and Spurs fans will be hoping that he is close to 100 per cent when the new campaign gets underway.
