Tottenham fans will be excited by what Dejan Kulusevski has said about next season

Dejan Kulusevski has sent a message to Tottenham supporters on social media after missing the whole of the season due to a knee injury.

While it took several bad decisions for Spurs to come dangerously close to relegation from the Premier League, the injury crisis the club suffered was also a huge contributing factor.

No Tottenham manager has had anything close to a fully fit squad to work with for the last two seasons, with the Lilywhites spiralling from one crisis to another.

Kulusevski, who has been out the longest of any player in the Spurs squad, has now reacted after seeing the club secure their place in the top-flight.

Dejan Kulusevski promises Tottenham fans he will ‘keep fighting’ as he looks to bounce back

The Sweden international has been sidelined since May of last year, and the injury will also keep him out of this summer’s World Cup.

However, Kulusevski, who was at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday to cheer on his teammates, has promised that he will leave no stone unturned in trying to get back to his best after missing the entire campaign.

The Tottenham man wrote on Instagram: “If you were God and could dream any life you wanted, you’d begin with the most ecstatic adventures. But eventually, you’d crave surprise. You’d crave uncertainty. You’d dream the dream of not knowing what happens next — and that is the dream you’re living right now. Not the year I expected, but I keep fighting every day and holding on to the moment I get to do what I love most again.”

Kulusevski could thrive under Roberto De Zerbi at Spurs

Kulusevski had set his sights on being fit for the World Cup, and while he would be heartbroken to miss out, it does give him a couple of more months to concentrate on his rehabilitation so that he can be ready to go for pre-season.

De Zerbi has already admitted that Kulusevski would be ‘perfect’ for his system, and the Italian would be excited about working with the Swede.

There is no doubt that Tottenham will be much more potent in attack at the start of next season, with the likes of Mohammed Kudus, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke also capable of thriving under the 46-year-old.
