Tottenham fans will be relieved by Luka Vuskovic report out of Germany, ‘absolutely no truth’

A local Hamburg outlet has dismissed the recent claims made about the future of Tottenham star Luka Vuskovic.

Vuskovic was voted the Bundesliga’s best player in the first half of the season, even beating Spurs legend Harry Kane to the award.

That shows just how big an impression the teenager has made over the last six months, and there are already rumours circulating regarding his plans for next season.

Vuskovic has opened the door to extending his loan spell at Hamburg, and it was recently claimed by Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe that the Spurs man has already decided he wants to spend one more season at HSV.

Reports about Tottenham star Luka Vuskovic rubbished

A new report in Hamburger Abendblatt notes that there have been reports in the British press suggesting that the 18-year-old will remain at the Volksparkstadion for one more season.

However, they say that there is ‘absolutely no truth’ to claims that a deal has been struck with Spurs to extend the centre-back’s stay.

The outlet claims that Tottneham have not made a decision yet on where Vuskovic will play his football next season.

The North Londoners will only decide on the teenager’s future at the end of this season, with the publication asserting that claims about him staying at Hamburg have been manufactured to farm attention.

One big factor will dictate HSV’s chances of retaining Vuskovic

Hamburger Abendblatt say that there is a possibility that the German club could agree a deal with Spurs to extend his loan.

However, to do that, Hamburg, who are currently five points off the drop zone, will first have to secure their place in next season’s Bundesliga.

It is explained that Tottenham will not entertain the idea of sending Vuskovic on loan to a team in the second tier of German football.
