Tottenham fans will love how Heung-min Son reacted to seeing Yang Min-hyeok in South Korea

Video footage has emerged showing Heung-min Son sharing a heartfelt moment with Tottenham loanee Yang Min-hyeok as the winger arrived for South Korea duty.

The international break is in full swing, and Tottenham Hotspur is well represented across the globe, with 17 players from Hotspur Way travelling to represent their respective nations over the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, 13 Tottenham players remain at Spurs’ training ground after missing out on International call-ups, continuing their preparations for the next phase of the season.

A handful of injured players are also working towards recovery, hoping to be fit in time for club football’s return.

Among those called up for duty is none other than Tottenham Hotspur skipper Heung-min Son, a mainstay for South Korea.

Tottenham teammates: Heung-min Son’s warm welcome for Yang Min-hyeok

The 32-year-old isn’t the only Spurs player making the trip to Asia this break. Tottenham loanee Yang Min-hyeok has also joined the South Korean squad after receiving his second call-up.

A video has now surfaced, showing Son giving Yang a warm welcome as he arrived for duty. The clip captures the Spurs captain greeting Yang with a handshake and a long, observant look, almost as if he was trying to assess his younger compatriot.

Son asked, “How have you been?” before looking at him like a proud older brother.

Of course, this comes as no surprise, given that Son had previously offered Yang some words of advice before the youngster departed for his loan spell at QPR.

South Korea’s World Cup push

With both players now linking up with their national team, their focus will be on helping South Korea take another step towards securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup.

Son, as captain, will be leading the charge, while Yang will be eager to get some minutes under his belt, especially after losing his spot in QPR’s last four games.

South Korea’s first test comes tomorrow against Oman, followed by a crucial fixture against Jordan next Tuesday.
