Tottenham fans will be excited by what journalist Dean Jones has said about the North London club’s transfer plans following their acquisition of Conor Gallagher.
There has been a significant development over the last 12 hours, with the Lilywhites seemingly taking no time to wrap up a deal for the Atletico Madrid man.
According to reports, Spurs have agreed a £35m deal with the La Liga side for the midfielder, who is expected to follow Souza through the door at Hotspur Way.
Fabrizio Romano has already given his ‘here we go’ for Gallagher’s move to N17, which now looks certain to go through, and Thomas Frank’s men are not done just yet this month.

Tottenham will make another ‘significant’ signing soon
Journalist Dean Jones has now said that the Gallagher deal is a sign of things to come for the North Londoners during the current window.
He revealed that the ambition at Spurs is very high and predicted that at least one more big signing would be completed over the coming days.
Jones wrote on X: “Tottenham’s move for Conor Gallagher is a sign of things to come. At least one other significant transfer will be coming soon. Ambition is high. Souza signing showed their focus on future talent. Gallagher shows how they will balance that with experience for the here and now.
Big change visible in Spurs’ transfer policy in the post-Daniel Levy era
The signings of Souza and Gallagher have garnered mixed reactions from the Tottenham fan base, which is understandable, and the jury is out on whether they will prove to be hits at the club.
However, it is undeniable that Spurs have acted with impressive urgency in both the Gallagher and Souza deals as well as in the sale of Brennan Johnson.
These are deals which would have likely been dragged out towards the end of the window in the Levy era, with the new Tottenham hierarchy showing a willingness to close transfers much quicker, even if it means they forgo a couple of million.
