After what seems like an eternity, it finally looks like Dominic Solanke is now nearing a return to the Tottenham Hotspur squad.
Solanke made two substitute appearances at the start of the season, after which Tottenham belatedly made the decision for him to have surgery on his ankle.
The frustrating thing for Spurs fans is that his return date continues to be pushed back. Thomas Frank previously hinted that Solanke could be back after the November international break, but there has been no sign of the striker on the training pitch.
That may soon be about to change, going by the former Bournemouth striker’s hint on social media.

Dominic Solanke posts cryptic message regarding Tottenham return
When pushed on his recovery last month, Solanke refused to put a timeline on his return.
The same has been the case with Thomas Frank, who has been quick to shut down questions regarding a timeline for Solanke in his recent press conferences.
However, the striker has now posted a message on Instagram stories with a couple of hourglass emojis, hinting that it is now time for him to return.
Solanke’s return leaves Thomas Frank spoilt for options upfront
The 28-year-old’s update coincides with Richarlison’s return to form and with Randal Kolo Muani looking more at home at Tottenham.
Additionally, Mathys Tel has been impressing whenever he has come on as a substitute over recent weeks, looking very sharp in the final third.
It was previously reported Spurs are prioritising signing a striker in January, but these recent developments could lead to a change of heart for Frank.
