Tottenham fans will love what Harry Kane said to Mathys Tel last week, ‘Just call me’

Mathys Tel has revealed what Tottenham legend Harry Kane told him last week and how the England captain has been helping him.

Tel’s game time at Bayern Munich declined sharply after Kane joined the club in 2023, but the youngster did get to learn from the best for 18 months before he eventually moved to Spurs.

Watching the way the England captain trains and the way he conducts himself in close quarters would have been an invaluable learning experience for the 20-year-old.

In fact, Kane has said that Tel has fantastic potential and backed the Frenchman to shine in the Premier League once he finds his feet.

Mathys Tel reveals conversation with Tottenham legend Harry Kane

Tel has now confessed that he remains in touch with his former Bayern Munich teammate and revealed that the 32-year-old gives him a lot of tips on improving various aspects of his game.

The Spurs youngster revealed that Kane is happy to help him with anything, both off and on the pitch.

Tel told The Telegraph: “Harry Kane helped me a lot. Four days ago, he sent me a voice note and we spoke together about how I can be better, about finishing, positioning in the box. He told me ‘whenever you want to call me, just call me. We’re going to talk together and try to find what is the best work for you’.

“It’s very good because he takes his time to talk to me. To explain how I can be better. For me, he’s the best striker in the world and now he has played 13 games and scored 21 goals. We are in October!

“He told me ‘whenever you want, just call me or text me and we will talk. If you want to talk about football, if you don’t want to talk about football, you want to talk about life, I’m always there for you’. He’s a very good guy.”

Kane has played down talks of a Spurs return

Reports continue to suggest that Tottenham are eyeing an ambitious move to re-sign Kane next summer, but the striker has played down the rumours.

Two weeks ago, Kane said that he can see himself staying at Bayern Munich for longer, and revealed that the desire to return to the Premier League is not as strong as it once was.

Addressing the speculation again last week, the Tottenham legend stated that Spurs will always have a special place in his heart, but insisted that he is happy at the Allianz Arena for now.
