Former Tottenham icon Luka Modric has made a very interesting comment about Spurs youngster Luka Vuskovic after sharing the pitch with the defender.
While Vuskovic has been tipped for big things from an early age, almost no one would have expected the youngster to do as well as he has in his first taste of football at the highest level at Hamburg.
The Tottenham youngster has been one of the best centre-backs across the top five leagues this season, and his solid displays at the back are a key reason why HSV look set to stay in the Bundesliga.
In fact, he has been so good that some have wondered if Vuskovic is actually Spurs’ best defender, and the teenager now appears to have won over one of the greatest players of the modern generation.

Vuskovic has also been making strides at the international level for Croatia, and looks set to get his first taste of the World Cup this summer.
The Tottenham defender started twice for his country during the international break as Croatia beat Colombia last week and fell to a 3-1 loss against Brazil on Tuesday.
Captain Luka Modric, who played in both matches, was very impressed with the young defender, backing him to have a ‘great future’.
When asked what he thought of Vuskoic, the Real Madrid great said, following his side’s loss to Brazil (via Croatian Football): “He played two very good matches, a great future is ahead of him, he just needs to continue like this.”
European giants are looking to poach Vuskovic from Spurs
As one would expect when a player performs as well as the 19-year-old has in Germany this season, many of the European elite have taken note of the defender’s development.
It has been reported that Barcelona, Liverpool and Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Vuskoivc, who is yet to make his debut for Tottenham.
More recently, Chelsea have also expressed an interest in the Spurs defender, while reports from Germany have said that Bayern Munich have also been very impressed by the Tottenham man’s performances this season.
