Tottenham fans will not like Harry Redknapp’s score prediction for Spurs vs Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur fans will not be overly pleased about Harry Redknapp’s prediction for the Lilywhites’ London derby against Fulham this evening.

Spurs are winless at home in the Premier League since the opening day of the season, and that is something that they will be desperate to fix when they take on the Cottagers.

Some pundits have already concluded that Frank is not the right fit for Tottenham, accusing the Dane of not being brave enough.

The 52-year-old thus needs to show this evening that his side can play on the front foot and dominate at home, but one former Spurs manager does not expect that to happen.

Harry Redknapp does not expect Tottenham to beat Fulham

Opta’s Supercomputer has Tottenham as big favourites against Fulham, which is not surprising, considering the Cottagers are languishing in 15th place in the table.

However, Redknapp believes that Marco Silva’s men have more momentum than their London rivals heading into the game and backed Fulham to hold the Lilywhites to a 1-1 draw.

Redknapp told BetVictor: “It’s been a difficult period for Spurs. I’ve got to be honest, I thought they were so poor in that North London derby, they barely threatened against Arsenal. They got a few goals in Paris, but again, they were so poor at the back, and that’s with 5 defenders playing!

“That was a massive win for Fulham last week, and that should relax them a bit. They still have a lot of good players on this side, even if it has been a tricky start to the season.

“If Fulham are to get something, they might need former Arsenal man Bernd Leno to be at his best in the sticks. I can actually see Fulham going here and really frustrating Spurs. Prediction: 1-1.”

Why is this the Spurs’ most important game of the season so far

At the start of the campaign, not many would have pencilled in a home Premier League game against Fulham in November as being crucial for Frank’s future and Tottenham’s season.

However, that is exactly what this game is, with the North Londoners desperately needing a good performance and a win at home.

Failure to beat Fulham will see the atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur turn even more negative, which may be hard for Frank to recover from.
