According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham fear that Real Madrid may swoop in for one of their prized assets come the summer transfer window.
However, we’re not talking about Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, or any player for that matter.
Madrid are said to still be very keen on manager Mauricio Pochettino after successful spells at both Spurs and Southampton.
The Spanish giants are apparently set to name Santiago Solari as their new manager until the end of the season.
Solari has held the position as an interim coach since Julen Lopetegui was fired.
Pochettino is under contract at Spurs until 2023 after signing a new deal in the summer, but money is often no object for Real Madrid, so they probably wouldn’t think twice about buying it out.
Spurs will be hoping they can hold onto their boss for the foreseeable future as they hope to move into their new stadium in 2019.
Poch still has no silverware to his name at Spurs, something that may change this year with the club still fighting on four fronts.
