We are getting closer and closer to the January transfer window now, and it seems Tottenham will be competing with a number of other clubs for one of the most sought-after talents in the Bundesliga.

Hugo Larsson headed for the Premier League
Ange Postecoglou strengthened his squad fairly well over the summer, and the Tottenham roster certainly feels more suitable to his needs than it did this time last year.
However, there is still work to be done in the transfer market, and it would appear the Lilywhites are looking for a new midfielder.
According to sources at Sky Sports Germany, Spurs are set to fight it out with Liverpool and Arsenal in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt star, Hugo Larsson.
It is said “several top clubs” have been keeping an eye on the 20-year-old of late, with the Premier League his most likely destination.
A number of German clubs are also circling Larsson, but there may be no move at all, as the player himself is believed to be “comfortable” with his current club.
Larsson recently signed a new contract taking him through to 2029, and there is no release clause included.

Larsson is on fire this season
The young Swedish star joined Frankfurt from Malmo last summer, and has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting talents in the Bundesliga now.
He has three goals and one assist to his name in 14 appearances this season, which already matches his return of four goal contributions from last season (he played 38 games last year).
Larsson is a tall, athletic, intelligent holding midfielder who reads the game incredibly well, and is able to make brilliant interceptions at exactly the right time. He is a very patient and calm player, too, who will rarely dive into a tackle.
Is Hugo Larsson the player Spurs need?
When everyone is fit and firing on all cylinders, the central midfield area is arguably one of Tottenham’s strongest positions in the squad. There was talk of Spurs needing another holding midfielder in the summer, but with Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Pape Sarr all capable of filling that role, Larsson would hardly be a priority.
