Tottenham finally receive a date for the postponed Chelsea clash

It has now been announced that Tottenham Hotspur will play Chelsea on May 2 before playing Liverpool on May 5.

Tottenham have a difficult end to the season, with the Lilywhites set to play all three of the title contenders as well as Chelsea during the final run-in.

That means that Spurs could have a big say on where the Premier League title ends up this season but Ange Postecoglou’s men will be worried about their own quest to pip Aston Villa to the final guaranteed Champions League qualification place.

Tottenham have already seen their clashes against Arsenal and Manchester City delayed owing to their involvement in the Champions League while Spurs’ clash against Chelsea was also postponed owing to the Blues making it to the semifinals of the FA Cup.

This means that Tottenham will have to face Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool within a space of seven days, which is far from ideal.

The date of Spurs’ fixture against Man City is also yet to be confirmed and with that fixture likely to be scheduled as the penultimate game of the season, Ange Postecoglou’s men face an extremely challenging end to the campaign.
