Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Tyler Dibling is expected to be anything but straightforward as a new report sheds light on the intensifying competition for the winger and how much Southampton are demanding from their starlet.
It has been widely reported over the last few months that Tottenham have entered into talks with Tyler Dibling, who has been identified as one of their top targets.
Some sources had previously even alleged that Spurs were at the front of the queue to land Dibling and were optimistic about landing him for a discounted price.
However, the situation appears to have changed since then, with Tottenham now expected to face a lot of competition for Dibling this summer.
How much are Southampton demanding for Dibling?
Sky Sports have revealed on their live transfer blog that the Saints have to sell the 19-year-old this summer after their relegation from the Premier League.
However, that does not mean that they are willing to accept a cut-price fee, with the South Coast club thought to be demanding around £55m for the teenager.
To make matters even more complicated, the report says that Aston Villa, Chelsea and RB Leipzig are also monitoring Dibling closely and could offer competition to the Lilywhites.
How much are Tottenham willing to pay for Tyler Dibling?
There could be even more competition for the Southampton man this summer, with some sources claiming that Man United are determined to beat Tottenham to Dibling this summer.
It thus looks like Spurs have a lot of work to do to land the teenager, but according to TEAMtalk, the North Londoners do not want to break the bank for the winger.
The outlet claimed Daniel Levy hopes to sign Dibling for £45m plus add-ons, and it remains to be seen if Southampton will entertain such an offer.
