Tottenham Hotspur now know who they could be facing in the Carabao Cup third-round at the start of the new 2020/21 season.
The League Cup second and third round draws were both completed this afternoon and Spurs are set to face the winner of Leyton Orient or Plymouth Argyle.
However, the draw has now cemented Tottenham’s perilous fixture schedule at the start of the campaign, including Carabao Cup, Premier League, and Europa League fixtures.
Spurs currently face Lokomotiv Plovdiv on September 17 in the second qualifying round for the Europa League. If they are successful, they will then have to play a third-round qualifier against Botosani or Shkendija just one week later.
Sky Sports revealed at the end of last month that Tottenham could face as many as nine fixtures in the opening 21 days of the season.
September 13 – Everton at home in the Premier League
September 17 – Lokomotiv Plovdiv away in the Europa League
September 20 – Southampton away in the Premier League
September 22 – Leyton Orient or Plymouth Argyle away in the Carabao Cup
September 24 – Potential Europa League qualifier against Botosani or Shkendija
September 26 – Newcastle at home in the Europa League
Septemeber 29 – Potential Carabao Cup fourth-round match
October 1 – Potential Europa League play-off fixture
October 4 – Manchester United away in the Premier League
