Tottenham find out who they will face in Carabao Cup quarter-final

Tottenham Hotspur have now officially been drawn at home to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Spurs overcame Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor on Wednesday evening to seal their progression into the final eight of the domestic cup competition.

Spurs will be hoping to go one better than last year when they eventually finished runners up to Manchester City, who won the final at Wembley by a 1-0 scoreline.

However, the competition holders have not made it to the quarter-finals this season after they were knocked out by West Ham United on penalties.

Brentford, Leicester and Liverpool also progressed to the final eight on Wednesday following their victories against Stoke, Brighton and Preston respectively.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s London rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea, had already sealed their progression to the next stage on Tuesday, along with Sunderland, who are the only club outside the top-flight left in the competition.

Spurs Web Opinion

Although City have been knocked out of the competition, there are still some really strong teams involved. So, it certainly will not be easy for us to go all the way. I would expect Nuno to name use our best lineup from the next round onwards.
