Tottenham forward refuses to take penalties

Tottenham Hotspur can boast a wealth of attacking options these days, with a number of world class forwards within their ranks.

Harry Kane is arguably the best centre forward in the world, with the likes of Heung-Min Son, Lucas Moura, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli pitching in with goals galore too.

Kane has scored the most penalties out of anyone in the Premier League since 2015, however, one Spurs forward has ruled out taking any more.

South Korea captain Heung-Min Son stepped up to the penalty spot against Uruguay on Friday night, but missed the chance to send his team 1-0 up.

Luckily his team mate scored the rebound and Korea ended up winning 2-1, but that didn’t saved Son’s blushes.

Sonny also missed a penalty for South Korea in a 2-0 win over Costa Rica last month.

He told reporters after the game that he would be taking any more penalties for the time being.

Yonhap News report he said: “We played a great game as a team to win, but personally, I still have a lot of room for improvement. It hurt my pride to miss the penalty. I don’t think I’ll be taking any more penalties.”
