Tottenham get Champions League boost with Dortmund injury

It feels like it has been a while since Tottenham had a injury boost, with the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane currently out with their own injury problems.

However, it appears Borussia Dortmund have issues of their own as we fast approach the first leg on the Champions League round of 16.

Dortmund’s forward star Marco Reus is currently struggling with a knock of his own, and is an injury doubt for the first leg at Wembley (Standard).

Reus has scored 17 goals this season, but picked up a thigh injury in the German Cup defeat by Werder Bremen yesterday.

It seems unlikely that we will be able to shake this injury in around a week, however, Spurs will also be without their own goal threats Kane and Alli.

The Dortmund boss, Lucien Favre, said the club would be assessing the goal scorer in a few days to check on his availability.
