It has been revealed that Tottenham saw a £35 million bid for Tyler Dibling rejected during the winter window, with Southampton standing firm on their hefty valuation. With Spurs still keen, the saga is far from over.
If you’ve been following SpursWeb’s coverage since the winter window, you’ll already be aware of Tottenham’s long-standing interest in Tyler Dibling.
We previously reported that Spurs were keen on signing the Saints winger, but Southampton slapped a £55 million price tag on Dibling—a valuation that ultimately deterred Tottenham from making a move at the time.
However, Spurs’ admiration for the 19-year-old hasn’t wavered. In fact, reports suggest Dibling is now Tottenham’s top target for the summer transfer window.

Tottenham’s winter bid for Tyler Dibling was rejected
BBC Sport has now revealed that, in January, Spurs lodged an unreported bid of £35 million for Dibling, only to see it rejected.
RB Leipzig also tested Southampton’s resolve with a £30 million offer, but they too were knocked back, as the Saints held firm on their £55 million valuation at the start of the window.
Southampton have remained tight-lipped on these reports, but one undeniable fact is that Dibling is among the lowest-paid players in their squad. He remains under contract until 2027 after the club triggered a 12-month extension.
Southampton’s stance and Spurs’ hopes
It’s clear Southampton are determined not to let their prized asset go cheaply. Reports now suggest they’ve hiked their original £55 million valuation by a staggering £45 million, placing a £100 million price tag on Tyler Dibling.
Of course, such a valuation is unlikely to hold up. It’s widely believed to be a tactic to ward off potential buyers rather than a genuine asking price.
That said, Dibling himself is said to be keen on a move to Tottenham. And with Southampton looking increasingly likely to drop into the Championship, it will be intriguing to see how long they can fend off Spurs’ persistent interest.
