The central midfielder has made 12 appearances for the Under-18s this season, while also featuring for the Under-23s in their recent 5-1 win over Brighton.

The 17-year-old, who has also been capped by England at Under-15 and Under-16 level, has signed a new deal with Spurs that runs until 2023.

Meanwhile, Marqes Muir, who is one of the most highly-rated central defenders in Tottenham’s academy set-up has also been one of the standout performers for the Under-18s this season.

The 18-year-old, who has also captained Matt Taylor’s side on two occasions this season, has committed his future to Spurs until 2022.

Spurs Web Opinion

Jose Mourinho mentioned recently that he believes that the best young talents at Spurs are around 16 or 17 years of age. Perhaps, Nile John and Marqes Muir were among the players he was referring to. Given how well the Under-18s are doing this season, it is not surprising that so many of them are being offered their first professional contracts.
