Fabrizio Romano has provided a significant transfer update on Maghnes Akliouche, who continues to be heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham explored a move for Akliouche until the final days of the January window, but the Lilywhites were not able to push through a deal for the attacking midfielder.
According to various journalists, the Monaco star continues to be near the top of Spurs’ wishlist in the lead-up to the summer transfer window.
However, the North Londoners have no time to waste if they wish to win the race for the 24-year-old, as the competition for his signature intensifies.

Premier League clubs have called Tottenham target Maghnes Akliouche
Just last week, TEAMtalk revealed that Man United and Liverpool are ready to challenge Spurs in the race for the France international.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that English clubs have already begun work on a deal for Akliouche, with several of them making contact to explore a deal for the attacker.
The journalist wrote on X: “Movements have started around Maghnes Akliouche with Premier League clubs keen on AS Monaco winger. Several calls already took place ahead of a potential summer move.”
How much do Spurs have to pay to land Akliouche?
It was widely reported that Monaco wanted Tottenham to pay £50m for their star man in January, and the Lilywhites may regret not getting their man then.
This is because reports indicate that the Ligue 1 club’s asking price for Akliouche has gone up to £60m ahead of the summer.
With the race for his signature intensifying, Monaco may be hoping for a bidding war for the attacking midfielder, which further pushes up his price.
