Tottenham have confirmed four Premier League fixture changes for the month of October ahead of the opening day of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to kick a ball for the first time in the Premier League this weekend since the final day of last season back in May.

Spurs were victorious at the time, beating Everton 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a victory that saw them secure their top-flight status after a frantic 25-26 season.

This weekend will see Tottenham take on Brentford at the Gtech Stadium in what is Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season as Spurs boss.

Tottenham confirm four October fixture changes in busy Premier League month

It sure will be a long campaign for Tottenham, who will be competing on all domestic fronts, including the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Spurs, however, do not have any European commitments, having missed out last season following their 17th-place finish.

With focus set to be placed firmly on the league, the club has now confirmed that four of their Premier League fixtures have been rescheduled in October.

Tottenham are set to begin the month with a clash against Manchester United on the 10th, before taking on Coventry on the 19th.

The following weekend will then see the first London derby of the season against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in what will be a cracking game.

The month then ends with another derby match against Crystal Palace.

Spurs must start strongly with tough early run ahead

With several big games expected to come in October, Tottenham will need to have a strong start to their Premier League season.

August and September are equally as difficult, with games against the likes of Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Everton lined up for Tottenham.

Should Spurs fail to have a strong start this campaign, they could well find themselves on the wrong end of the table come December.
