One of Tottenham Hotspur’s away Premier League clashes in April is expected to be rearranged to a new date after the club sealed progression to the quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Tottenham were trailing AZ Alkmaar 1-0 after the first leg, but the Lilywhites managed to turn the tie around, emerging 3-1 winners in the second leg, courtesy of a James Maddison goal and a Wilson Odobert brace.
The result sets up a mouthwatering quarterfinal clash between Spurs and Eintracht Frankfurt after the Bundesliga club also overcame Dutch opposition in the form of Ajax in the round of 16.
It is fair to say that on the back of that result, Tottenham’s focus now shifts firmly to the Europa League, but Ange Postecoglou will want to ensure that his side also pick up decent results in the Premier League and moves to a respectable position in the table.

Tottenham’s Premier League fixture to be pushed back
Frankfurt will travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first leg on Thursday, April 10 before the Lilywhites make the trip to Germany a week later for the second leg.
Spurs were scheduled to play Wolves on Saturday, April 12, less than 48 hours after their first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal. However, the game has now been pushed back to Sunday, April 13 in order to give Tottenham sufficient time to recover.
Following Spurs’ second leg against Frankfurt on April 17, their next Premier League game is not until Monday, April 21, with Nottingham Forest set to visit N17.

Ange Postecoglou will rotate his squad considerably
Irrespective of whether Spurs have two or three days to prepare for the Wolves game, one would expect Postecoglou to rotate his team considerably.
The Tottenham head coach will want his key players to recover fully for the second leg and he will not want to risk any injury in between those two clashes against Frankfurt.
