The Tottenham hierarchy are right back to square one just a few weeks on from appointing Igor Tudor, according to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney.

The Croat’s arrival has not led to any uptick in performances or form. If anything, many will feel that performances have actually got worse.

The interim Spurs boss has walked into an extremely challenging situation and is working with an extremely depleted squad.

However, reports over the last couple of days have indicated that Tottenham are considering all their options regarding Tudor, whose days at N17 could be numbered.

Deja vu for Tottenham hierarchy after replacing Thomas Frank with Igor Tudor

Miguel Delaney has now revealed that the Tottenham top brass are divided on whether to give Tudor time or to make a second managerial change in less than a month.

The journalist reveals that this was also the case regarding Thomas Frank a few weeks ago, and explained that while some officials at the club like Tudor’s directness and honesty, the 47-year-old’s time may be running out.

Delaney wrote in his Inside Football newsletter for The Independent: “Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be in a situation similar to before Thomas Frank left, with the hierarchy divided on what to do next. It is clear that Igor Tudor just hasn’t had the desired impact, and the club almost needs the Hail Mary of the right personality coming in to secure that one win that sets everything back on track.

“There is no certainty on whether Tudor should actually go, when that might happen, or who could replace him. The fact that “unity candidates” like Harry Redknapp and Glenn Hoddle are being mentioned outside the club says enough.

“Tudor has certainly caused a shock, simply in terms of how many home truths he has delivered. That does appeal to some within the hierarchy, but time is running out.

“None of this is exactly the build-up you want ahead of a huge Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid, which has now become almost an unwanted distraction. Spurs’ entire season is increasingly about survival.”

Calls for Tudor’s sacking are getting louder

Many have already given up on the interim Spurs head coach, with Jamie O’Hara calling on Tottenham to sack Tudor immediately after their loss to Crystal Palace.

Club legend Teddy Sheringham has warned Spurs that they will be relegated if they do not sack Tudor, questioning the former Juve boss’ tactical decisions.

Sacking Tudor less than a month after hiring him will not reflect well on Tottenham’s decision-making process and the judgment of their senior officials.

However, with survival at stake, the club may have no choice but to roll the dice again if results do not improve soon.
