Tottenham Hotspur announce fifth signing of the summer transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur have now officially announced the fifth signing of the summer transfer window, with Manor Solomon joining on a free deal subject to international clearance and work permit.

After having a successful season on loan at Fulham last year, where Solomon was used primarily as an impact substitute, the Israeli winger has now signed a contract until 2028 with Spurs.

Spurs have already welcomed new signings James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario into North London, as well as permanent deals for loanees Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski.

Solomon was previously contracted by Shakhtar Donetsk, but FIFA allowed him to suspend that contract in order to join Fulham last season due to the war in Ukraine.

This ruling was extended to allow Solomon to leave permanently this summer, which is why Tottenham were able to sign him on a free transfer (BBC).

Spurs Web Opinion:

You can rarely argue with a free signing in an area of the pitch where you are already strong. Solomon joins the likes of Heung-min Son, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison who can play wide left or right. Essentially, he replaces Lucas Moura and Arnaut Danjuma from last season.
