Tottenham Hotspur announce the sale of 23-year-old player with 24 appearances

Tottenham Hotspur have now officially announced the sale of Kyle Walker-Peters to fellow Premier League outfit, Southampton.

This comes after the Lilywhites agreed a deal to see Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg move the other way this summer ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Walker-Peters was a graduate of the Tottenham academy, making his senior debut in 2015 under Mauricio Pochettino in the pre-season tour of Malaysia and Australia.

In 2017, Kyle then made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United, earning man of the match for his performance at right-back.

While he was a regular for a brief period at the start of the 2019/20 campaign under Pochettino, starting the first three Premier League games of the season, the youngster picked up an injury and never quite managed to break back in.

Over his three senior years at Tottenham, Walker-Peters managed 24 appearances and picked up his only goal against Rochdale in the FA Cup.

Spurs Web Opinion:

We at Spurs Web would like to wish Kyle all the best for the future and wholeheartedly believe that he could go on to have a great Premier League career at Southampton. Let’s just hope that we don’t come to regret selling him.
