Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Kazaiah Sterling has joined Doncaster Rovers on a season long loan deal.
The 20-year-old striker was not included on the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East along with the Audi Cup matches in Germany, with Mauricio Pochettino instead deciding to instil his faith in 17-year-old Troy Parrott.
Sterling spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at League One side Sunderland where he failed to start a match, making eight appearances off the bench and scoring once (Soccerbase).
His last involvement in a Spurs shirt this season was in last Saturday’s 4-0 victory for the club’s Under 23 side where he scored a brace away at Liverpool.
The young forward will be certainly hoping that he is able to make a bigger impact at Doncaster, who have drawn their two opening matches in League One.

Opinion
Realistically, Sterling’s future must lie away from North London and the opportunity to impress at Doncaster could certainly put him in the shop window for a permanent move.
