Tottenham Hotspur have been made aware of the price it will take to secure Jobe Bellingham’s signature this summer, with Sunderland reportedly demanding a significant fee for the young midfielder.
Tottenham’s midfield issues have been well documented in recent weeks, with Spurs fans growing increasingly frustrated at Yves Bissouma’s poor form.
Even the Spurs boss himself has not held back. Ange Postecoglou openly criticised Bissouma after his display against Fulham, a match where he was hooked off at half-time.
The struggles in midfield become even more evident, when creative players like James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are not on the pitch, leaving the team lacking balance and control in central areas.

Tottenham Hotspur given £20m price tag for Jobe Bellingham
It is clear that Tottenham Hotspur need to strengthen their midfield this summer. Reports have linked Spurs with Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham, but they are not alone in the race.
Chelsea and other clubs are also reported to be monitoring Bellingham – the same outlet also states that the Blues are ready to make an offer for the young midfielder.
Now, fresh reports from Football Insider have revealed just how much Spurs will have to pay if they want to prise Bellingham away from the Black Cats. Sunderland are said to be demanding a fee in excess of £20 million for the talented midfielder.
Is Bellingham the right signing for Spurs?
Given Tottenham’s ongoing midfield struggles, it makes sense for them to target a young, energetic player who is ready to make the jump to the Premier League.
Of course, Bellingham already has solid experience in English football, having started all 32 of Sunderland’s Championship matches this season.
He has also chipped in with four goals and three assists, proving his ability to contribute in attacking phases. For £20 million, securing a young English talent with clear potential could prove to be a bargain for Spurs.
