Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to Mainz striker Jonathan Burkardt who is taking the Bundesliga by storm this season, but the Lilywhites are not the only Premier League club eyeing him.

The versatile forward, who can operate as a number, as a second striker or on the left, has found the back of the net 15 times in 22 league games this season.
The report says that the 24-year-old, who is third in the Bundesliga Golden Boot rave behind Harry Kane and Patrik Schick, is fast becoming one of the ‘hottest properties in German football’ ahead of the summer window.
The outlet claims that Tottenham see Burkardt as someone who can push for a starting place this season as they look to add more firepower to their frontline.

However, TBR Football make it clear that Tottenham are not alone in their admiration of the Mainz man, with several other Premier League sides joining them in the race.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion have been credited with an interest in Burkardt.
It is suggested that the Magpies have scouted the German and may see him as an option to replace Alexander Isak, whose future at St James’ Park remains unclear.
