Team News: Postecoglou reveals a fresh Tottenham injury for Nottingham Forest game

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of Sunday’s match against Nottingham Forest during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

The fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was originally scheduled to take place on Monday evening, however, it was moved forward at less than two week’s notice due to strikes affecting the London Underground and train services.

Forest come into the match on the back of their impressive 3-1 over Fulham which sees them currently sit three points ahead of Luton Town who occupy the final relegation place in the Premier League table.

Tottenham had a frustrating evening at West Ham United on Tuesday, where despite a fast start, they were unable to build upon their early lead and had to settle for a 1-1 draw instead.

Tottenham injury news ahead of Nottingham Forest match

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs first-team squad ahead of the clash against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

It will be the first time in which Nuno has returned to the stadium since his sacking as Tottenham Hotspur manager in October 2021 after just 17 matches in charge across all competitions.

Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessgnon and Manor Solomon all still remained sidelined through injury.

Postecoglou told the Tottenham media team today that Richarlison has a fresh niggle in his knee so will be given the weekend off to ensure he is fit for the Newcastle game next week.
