Tottenham became the first ever Premier League club to fail to sign a single new player in the transfer window this summer.
However, it doesn’t seem to be holding the Spurs team back, after they recorded three out of four wins in their opening games to the season.
This included a 3-0 win away to Man United, making Pochettino and Levy’s decision to stick with a settled squad look like a master stroke.
However, the Tottenham manager is apparently looking to strengthen his side in January in order to make a real push for the title this season.
CalcioMercato have reported that Spurs are very interested in signing the midfielder Hector Herrera from Porto.
Herrera captained the Portuguese club to their first title in five years last season.
Herrera’s contract expires next summer, and Porto are said to be willing to accept £18m for the player.
Should Spurs wait to grab him on a free, or does their midfield need strengthening now?
