Tottenham became the first and only Premier League club in history not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window this year.
Spurs chose instead to tie current players down to new deals, and succeeded in keeping ever big name star at the club.
However, with a dwindling squad hit by injury, Pochettino may be forced into signing some back ups come January.
Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama, Christian Eriksen, Luke Amos and Vincent Janssen are all currently out injured.
Tottenham are said to be keen on signing a new centre attacking mid, with Scouts Attending stating that Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo is a prime target.
AS Roma are also said to be interested in the forward, and Sassuolo are likely to ask for at least 30 million Euros for their star man.
The 24-year-old Italian is thought to be a back up to either Kane, or the likes of Lucas, Dele or Eriksen.
He has scored 60 goals in 182 appearances for his current club.
[@ScoutsAttending] now understand Tottenham Hotspur have joined AS Roma by showing interest in the Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi.
