Tottenham keen on two signings for January

Tottenham famously failed to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window, but Pochettino may want to dip into the market come January.

Spurs have been linked to a whole host of players, with a number of key men in their squad nearing the ends of their deals and a number of others out injured.

Jan Vertonghen, Luke Amos and Vincent Janssen are all long term injuries for Spurs.

Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele are all in the final years of their contracts, with Christian Eriksen down to his final two years.

The Daily Mail have reported Pochettino has his eye on two key players for the January window, in Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins.

Spurs are said to have been interested in the Monaco midfielder Tielemans in the summer, and Watkins has impressed for Brentford in the Championship.

21-year old Tielemans could well be a Dembele replacement, while Watkins’ four goals already this season could provide back up to Harry Kane.
