Tottenham Hotspur are considering raiding their London rivals for a forward in the summer, but they will have to see off competition from several other clubs across the Premier League to land the player.

Although we are still a long way away from the summer window, and Spurs are still not even assured of their Premier League status next season, it appears the club may have started making tentative plans for the summer.

Reports claim that Tottenham are expected to make some ambitious moves in the summer following a quiet January window.

Some sources state that Spurs have already explored approaches for some experienced centre-forwards, and a new update has suggested that a Chelsea man has now been added to the North London club’s wishlist.

Tottenham eyeing move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson

TEAMtalk say that Tottenham could make a move for Nicolas Jackson, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old has scored five goals in 22 appearances in Bavaria this season, but his future may lie away from the Allianz Arena.

It is revealed that even though Bayern paid a record loan fee for Jackson in the summer, it was always clear that they were ‘highly unlikely’ to buy the striker permanently.

The Senegal international will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, and his representatives are already speaking to intermediaries about a move away from the Blues.

The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that are ‘extremely attentive’ to the forward’s situation at the moment.

Spurs could face intense competition for Jackson

TEAMtalk reveal that the Lilywhites will not have a free run at the Chelsea man as the interest in his services is ‘nothing short of intense’.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa all tracked Jackson before his move to Bayern and are ‘ready to pounce’ if the West London club show a willingness to sell.

Additionally, Atletico Madrid are also keen on the former Villarreal man and have been in regular contact with his representatives.
