Tottenham learn who they will face in Carabao Cup third round

Tottenham Hotspur have this evening found out who they will face in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The draw was made just moments ago following the second round tie between West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal.

Spurs will face Wolves in the third round of the competition, with the tie taking place at Molineux.

Matches will be played during the week commencing the week commencing September 20th.

Last season, Tottenham made it all the way to the final of the competition where they eventually lost 1-0 to Manchester City.

The build up to the match was overshadowed by the sacking of Jose Mourinho just a matter of days before the Wembley showpiece, with Ryan Mason placed in temporary charge.

Tottenham have not won the League Cup since 2008, which was their last taste of competitive silverware when Jonathan Woodgate’s extra time header gave Juande Ramos’ side a 2-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
