Tottenham learn who they will face in the Carabao Cup fourth round

Tottenham Hotspur have this evening found out who they will face in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after the draw was made just a short time ago.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side managed to secure their place in the hat for the draw after beating his former side Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The North Londoners will take on Burnley in the fourth round of the competition at Turf Moor with the tie set to take place during the week commencing October 25th.

Tanguy Ndombele put the visitors ahead with a neat finish after fourteen minutes and they doubled their lead just nine minutes later through Harry Kane.

Some poor defending from Ndombele from a corner allowed Wolves a route back into the game when Dendoncker headed home and they levelled the score on 58 minutes when Ndombele was caught in possession and Podence side-footed home.

Tottenham have not won the League Cup since 2008, which was their last taste of competitive silverware when Jonathan Woodgate’s extra time header gave Juande Ramos’ side a 2-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.

Last season, they came up short in the final against Manchester City with interim boss Ryan Mason on the receiving end of a 1-0 loss.
