Tottenham legend hits out at Burnley for Wembley performance

Tottenham Hotspur left it late to grab all three points at home today as Burnley visited Wembley.

Sean Dyche’s men set up for the draw from the first minute, and were guilty of time wasting on countless occasions.

Two of the Burnley players were booked for the offence, but plenty more got away with it too, including Joe Hart.

Spurs eventually unlocked the resolute Burnley defence in the 91st minute as substitute Christian Eriksen latched onto a Harry Kane lay off to smash home the winner.

This rounded off a nice move involving a Llorente flick on, Dele Alli chest, Kane lay off, and Eriksen finish.

Tottenham were far from their best after Champions League travels in midweek, but they got the job done and remain five points behind League leaders Man City.

Spurs legend Graham Roberts was less than pleased with the Burnley time wasting today, and took to Twitter to voice his frustrations.
